Game Designer

I have been mesmerized, and intrigued by video games for as long as I can remember. I have been passionately playing video games since I was a kid; deducing puzzles in Freddy Fish and memorizing race tracks in Star Wars: Pod Racer.
I continue to play as diverse a selection of games that I can. Always looking for inspiration for new ideas and improvements for existing designs.
When I'm not playing games, I'm sure to research new developments in the game industry. I try to stay aware of what makes new games popular, unpopular, well or poorly received.

Previous Projects:

Unreal Tournament Capture the Flag Map:
Developed a functioning capture the flag map for unreal tournament, balanced to fit two small teams.
Mobile Puzzle-Platformer:
Designed mechanics and level that teach, test and challenge players in a 2D pixel-art cutesy puzzle-platformer. Built from the ground up in 4 months with a team of six.
Mr. Puddle is available on itch.io.
It was originally developed for Galaxy S7 tablets.
Level Design Competitions:
Made maps for the game, Prodeus, both before, and after, it was released from early access on Steam. All maps were made solo. Brushwork, pacing, encounters, colouring, lighting, resources, etc. all needed to be done from scratch. Received, and built off of, feedback from the community. Playtested and gave feedback to other participants to ensure everyone was giving the best submissions possible.

Gamified Survey (Proof of Concept):
Worked in a team of six over a a year to develop a mobile application for the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario (HEQCO). The goal was to determine how much students' soft skills were being developed over the course of their post-secondary education.
